Even though Seniors Week has changed its name to the Victorian Seniors Festival, it is still an annual, jam- packed, week-long celebration of older Victorians. The festival offers hundreds of low cost or free events, activities and open forums. To help the festival goers get around, there is also free public transport for holders of a Victorian Seniors Card during the festival to encourage seniors to get out of the house and participating in the celebrations.

Scoresby Football Club scored wins in all grades against Croydon in Round 9 of the Eastern Football League Division 1. Back at Scoresby Recreation Reserve after three weeks on the road, the Magpies burst through the banner and started strongly with seven goals from Jacob Zboril leading the Colts to a 90 point win. The Reserves continued their unbeaten run with an 82 point win and lead the league by 2 points. Scoresby Seniors rounded out the day with a 111 defeat of the Blues.
